How-to guide: Create more sophisticated blog posts

Hey!

I think this will help a few users when making posts on this blog, especially when we go further into the course and require to create tables and whatnot. The trick behind this is to use HTML coding to create the posts. Let me explain: I'm not really deeply into html coding and it's rules, but what I do know is that you really can't go wrong with html. You can do generally anything you could do on MS Word, and knowledge of coding is not needed.
The workaround is simple. You simply use MS Word to create your post and edit it, then just let MS Word convert it into it's constituent codes and all you have to do is copy and paste it into Blogger. Let me show you how this is done with MS Word 2010 and a Google Chrome browser: (It's also very similar if you're using Firefox or IE)

1) Create your post on MS Word. Edit it and add effects as necessary.

2) Save it as an html file. Just choose html from the drop down!

3) Open the html file you saved. Right click and choose 'View Page Source'

4) Copy the entire code. (CTRL+A and CTRL+C):

5) Paste it into the HTML tab on the top left corner of the 'New Post' page on Blogger. After pasting the code, go back to the 'Compose' window, and Voila! All Done!

Hope this helps!

PS:  I know that you can probably take this a step further if you are fluent with HTML coding but this is helpful if you're not very familiar with it and want to create posts with tables and special effects.
NOTES:
1) Make sure the text background color is 'No Color', NOT white. They may look the same on MS Word but the white background masks your text on Blogger since our forum's background is Black.
2) Use Blogger to add your images. Adding them through MS Word would not work.
